"I'm so excited"

"and I just can't hide it" said the pointer sisters way back when. It's not every day a box arrives at the studio (well, actually a large crate) that's come half way around the world and contains our new jewelry collection. It really, really is exciting to be able to bring a new collection from sketches to real live jewelry so I hope you will like it too.

A lot of people love our HSN collection, and as some of the pieces were made exclusively for them, we don't sell them on the website, and retailers can't order them for their stores. I think its a trade-off, HSN reaches lots of people and it's so affordable, but people want new jewelry more than a few times a year that I'm on the network. There are other shopping networks in Europe and Asia that we obviously can't sell this collection on, as it is named for HSN. So, what to do? Why not make a new line, super trendy, super affordable and with the same quality you know and desire and sell it alongside our full jewelry line?

When I was asked that question, the answer was the same, why not! So, let me introduce to you the RC2 trend collection, featuring necklaces, earrings and rings made with the highest quality and ready for spring. The bib necklace comes in six colors, including coral and jade for spring. The earrings are just beautiful and are made from the same hand-poured resin that we love to use because it is light, has a real solid feel and beautiful color and shine. Resin is not like other materials, it is always shiny, needs no care and is not heavy.

The necklace is perfect for springtime, is so vibrant and makes you smile when you wear it. The earrings are perfectly sized and anyone can wear them, they are not heavy and hang nicely from your ears. If you are even remotely concerned if they might pull, then you'll want to try another product we sell, the Lobe Wonder. These little thingys make sure you can wear larger or heavier earrings with ease, they are really a miracle product that we all use with ease.

So, even though the new RC2 collection is not on the website yet, it will be officially launched in the next few days. I'm thrilled to be launching a new line, it's the first time we've done this as a web only collection although once retailers get their samples and style sheets it will be carried alongside our complete line of earrings and other jewelry. It's labor day weekend, amazing this summer that really never started is now finishing. In new york, at least, we didn't have much hot weather, no super-humid-sweat-producing heat waves, and only a couple of days where it was really hot. Go figure, but that's mother nature. The city is filled with tourists, and people are starting to shop a bit, maybe thanks to my summer sales and some great new pieces, the fall jewelry is selling like hotcakes.
My email subscribers received a special offer for the 'bib necklace' and it looks like I will have lots of shipping to do when I get home, we've sold plenty already.

Like most new yorkers, we consider the long weekend a special opportunity to get out of town. We have journeyed up to Canfield, Ohio. I'm visiting friends and making a pilgrimage to the Canfield Fair.
There are so many things to do, it's perfect weather and the trip up here was a great drive. Car trips and state fairs are a great way to spend the labor day weekend, and we are all having a great time. Here I am with a giant white turkey! There are lots of other farm animals here on display, some are even for sale. I really wanted to buy the cow, you never know if it's going to end up as somebodys dinner, but I don't think we can take it home to manhattan, and my brother would rather have a goat.
They have all the entries from the apple contest, each one shined and polished. Of course, if you didn't want a nice fresh apple, there was no shortage of fried foods, can you imagine deep-fried Oreos or Twinkies!

At the end of the fair the farmers come back to claim their produce, we are guessing it will end up at a roadside stand or farmers market. The thousands of ears of corn on display will be used to feed the farm animals, nothing goes to waste in this fair!
The Canfield Fair is really a great piece of americana, seeing all these people enjoying themselves, surrounded by food they have grown, animals they have raised, etc. It's sort of like my life, surrounded by jewelry I've made (or something like that)! Ciao.
