When I first moved to NYC and went to Parson's School of Design - I lived downtown and fell in love with the streets of SoHo. I discovered 2 places that became my favorite's - Keith Haring's Pop Shop and the Sally Hawkins Gallery featuring the work of jewelry designer Bill Schiffer. Although they were very different artists - their work had so much in common; a very strong bold look filled with bright colors.
Today I was looking at my collection of amazing jewels from Bill Schiffer’s Crystal Collectables and I was overwhelmed to see how strong the influence was so many years later in my own work. I sparkled them up and snapped a pic - I love them as much today as the day I bought them.
