Running a Marathon

It's Marathon Sunday in New York City. Millions of people watch on TV, the runners and their families and friends all come for a big weekend in the Big Apple, and the prize winner gets a $130,000 prize.
Crossing the 59th Street Bridge
It's absolutely amazing that so many people come here to run over 26 miles. Do you have any idea how long that is! If I drove around the city in my car sometimes it takes longer than the 2 hours and 8 minutes it took this years champion. Our hats are off to every single runner who enters this race. Bravo!

The other side of this festive day is that the residents of Manhattan are mostly trapped in their homes during the race.

Bubble Cuff featured in UPTOWN
The 'official' finish time is 7:00 PM, so for all of the day our street is closed, there are a thousand or so people on the corner cheering their runners on, and no traffic is permitted. The New York Times ran an article about moving it somewhere else, church attendance is down, shopping is a real pain and god forbid an ambulance had to get somewhere. So, we stay inside. It's time to re-arrange the closet, watch some movies on TV and relax. There are always things to do, the studio is filling up with orders (it's funny how a 20% discount motivates you to buy something) and I am carefully unpacking some of our Bubble Cuff Bracelets that were delivered on friday but the box was so heavy I decided to tackle it today.

The Bubble Cuff is a fantastic piece, it's been featured in a few magazines already, and is so sparkly and shiny it will go with practically anything. I think people are so happy to have a stretch cuff, sometimes smaller ones are hard to get on, and bigger ones fall right off.

This one has just the right amount of stretch and will fit practically anybody. We're going to begin flat rate shipping and have reduced the price on this and other 'customer favorites', so you should check these out! Uptown Magazine featured it in their latest issue, and I just sent a couple over to another magazine so I hope it gets another appearance!
Dolcetti Necklace featured on TV

Another piece you have to check out is the Dolcetti Necklace. You may have seen it on ET the other night, people literally stop me on the street when I wear it, it is so luxurious.
Plus, we are giving the matching earrings with each necklace, so how can a girl go wrong? They also right on with the trends, everyone wants 'dangly' pieces that swing to and fro when you walk. The movement makes the facets of the crystal reflect light, and makes you the sparkly center of attention.

Look at what is in this month's issue of Glamour Magazine, when the editor called and asked "what do you have that dangles" I knew this would be the one they wanted.

The Glamour Dangly Earrings are a reddish-dark pink color with gold wire and it looks stunning. Put on a pair and your friends will be asking you about these Swarovski gems in 5 minutes. Which is a good thing, cause then you know what to get them for a christmas gift. We'll be waiting by the phone at robertachiarella.com for your call. Ciao!
